Taoist Meditation

Taoist meditaiton techniques teach students to take control over their mind, body and spirit.

Traditional Taoist Meditation teaches students to be in balance with the five elements.  Through attaining this balance, practitioners learn to absorb energy from each element, nourishing the mind, body, and spirit.  Eventually, through meditation practitioners can learn to achieve the ultimate levels of insight and tranquility.

Beginning Students are first taught to relax their entire body from head to toe by learning different techniques to clear the mind. They are then taught to concentrate on the Tan T'ien (center of energy) which is located just below the navel. Once students become comfortable with this point and the cycle that the chi follows, they will move on to the many other points incorporated in Taoist meditation.  In addition, students will learn to promote healthy immune systems through focusing on cleansing the body of stagnation. 

Chi flow is an integral element in preserving and maintaining a healthy and balanced body and mind.  Learning how to focus on Chi will empower the student to remove blocked energy paths in their body.  The ability to clear energy blocks enables the chi to flow freely, thus,  teaching students how to heal themselves.
