(September 24) West America Internationals Oakland City Center

The Kids Kung Fu Class, with now over 1 year of experience, competed at the West America International tournament at the Oakland Marriott City Center.  Their hard work and determination throughout the last year led them to success in both the Northern and Southern Kung Fu Forms divisions.

(MAY 11-14) 2005 MASTER HANCOCK VISITED NEVADA CITY

     One of the unique aspects of studying with Body Balance of Northern California is the opportunity to meet and study with Masters of Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan and Tien Shan Pai Style Kung Fu.  Eileen's father, Master Pat Hancock, recently visited the area for some very in depth seminars on Meditation, Push Hands, and Tai Chi Chuan movements and applications.  Eileen's pledge to make absolutely sure that the information she teaches her students is genuine, accurate, and helpful is met by giving her students the ability to train with teachers as close to the source as possible.  Eileen's 14+ years of teaching the arts still leaves her humble, but you can be assured that the knowledge she has to offer will give you the ability to change the way your mind and body interact.  Just attend one of her classes and ask any of her students.  You won't be disappointed.

(April 22-24) Golden Gate Nationals

Congratulations to all of Body Balance's participants at Golden Gate Nationals held at the San Francisco Airport Marriot.  The Kung-Fu kids did a fabulous job exemplifying what traditional Kung Fu truly is.  A special congratulations to Lauren Arnett for taking silver in the Traditional Northern Kung Fu Open Hand division!!  This is only the beginning of Body Balance's competition and demonstration team.
